About this activity

Designed for first-timers this experience allows you to embrace the Arctic elements in a safe and comfortable manner with the instruction of our expert guide. Your journey begins with pick-up transportation from your accommodation or the Sea Lapland Safaris safari house to the Inner Harbour of Kemi. Upon arrival you will step into a warm changing room, where you’ll change into your swimwear. We'll provide you with  neoprene boots and gloves that will help keep your extremities warm. 

Before approaching the ice your instructor will provide step-by-step instructions on how to prepare and what to expect. With your instructor by your side, you will take your turn stepping into the icy water. Your instructor will be there for you during every step to make sure you feel safe, confident and ready to fully embrace the experience. While it may seem like a daring challenge, many participants describe a profound sense of calm and accomplishment as they emerge from the cold water. 

After your dip, you’ll return to the warm changing room to enjoy hot drinks and a warm shower, allowing your body to gradually reheat. When you are ready, we will drop you off back at your hotel.

Cancellation policy

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 2 days or less before the event
Our refund fee

On top of the operator's policy above, every refund carries a processing fee: 3.5% + €0.25 for card payments, or 2% for Alipay and WeChat Pay. It applies to all refunds, including cancellations inside the free-cancellation window — the fee charged when you pay is not returned to us when we refund.
