About this activity

As we depart from Bodø we sail along the rugged coastline to the north. On the way we can admire the island of Landegøde and its mountain rising high from the waters as well as the picturesque tidal beach of Hovsundet.


We continue to Kjerringøy where we will step on land and take a 10 minute stroll through a wonderful lush bit of forest to breathtaking Kjerringøy Handelssted. This 19th century trading post has several well preserved buildings and several beautiful old wooden boats. Roam around the open air museum and imagine what life would be like 200 years ago.


On the way back to Bodo, you can purchase something to eat or drink and enjoy the unobstructed views over Vestfjorden.
