Experience the breathtaking frozen waterfalls of Korouoma on a guided winter adventure through snowy canyon landscapes and peaceful Arctic wilderness. Famous for its massive ice formations and untouched nature, Korouoma is one of Finland’s most spectacular winter destinations and attracts visitors from around the world each year.
Your day begins with a scenic drive from Rovaniemi to the nature reserve, where your guide leads you through beautiful forest trails and along the canyon surrounded by frozen cliffs and waterfalls. Along the way, you’ll learn about local wildlife, nature, and life in Lapland while enjoying the calm atmosphere far away from the city. With a bit of luck, you may spot tracks left behind by reindeer, moose, Arctic hares, or other wildlife living in the area.
Halfway through the adventure, you’ll warm up around an open fire with a traditional wilderness BBQ and hot drinks in the heart of nature. This relaxing break gives you time to enjoy the scenery, ask questions, and experience authentic Lapland outdoor culture.
Pickup and drop-off are included from selected locations in Rovaniemi. Your guide will text you your pickup time approximately 30 minutes before departure. As there are multiple pickups during the tour, we kindly ask guests not to wait outside in the cold until the guide confirms they are on the way.
Our tours are always operated in small groups to create a more personal and enjoyable experience, avoiding crowded mass-tourism style excursions. This allows your guide to focus on every guest and make the day feel relaxed, friendly, and memorable.
