About this activity

A real Northern Lights hunt, led by a local team from Rovaniemi. All of our guides are locals. They do the driving, know Lapland’s roads and weather, and live for nights like this.

If we do not capture the Northern Lights on camera during your tour, you get a full refund.

THE CHASE: NO FIXED ROUTE
We track cloud cover, solar activity and road conditions right up to departure, then chase the clear sky in a heated coach, wherever it is. When needed, we cross into Sweden.

YOUR NIGHT, CAPTURED
Your guide shoots the whole night with professional camera gear. You get every photo afterwards, at no extra cost. Hot berry juice and biscuits are served at the viewing spot.

DURATION AND START TIME
Usually 4 to 6 hours. If staying out longer improves your chances, we stay. Start time is between 18:00 and 21:00, confirmed by email at 15:00 on the tour day.

MEETING POINT
Polar Lapland office, Rovakatu 19, Rovaniemi city centre. No hotel pickup.

Cancellation policy

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event
  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 0% if booking is cancelled 1000 days or less before the event
Our refund fee

On top of the operator's policy above, every refund carries a processing fee: 3.5% + €0.25 for card payments, or 2% for Alipay and WeChat Pay. It applies to all refunds, including cancellations inside the free-cancellation window — the fee charged when you pay is not returned to us when we refund.
